About Us

Cats Whiskers Day Nursery is a family run, 'home from home' style nursery, with staff who are passionate about children's learning and development.

The nursery opened in October 2000. As a family, Brian and Jacqui and their children, Fizz and Greg, have successfully run the nursery for almost 26 years but now Brian and Jacqui are ready to retire. Fizz and Greg will take over ownership starting September 2026.

Fizz is the nursery Director and Manager. She grew up working in the nursery, from work experience as a teenager, to holiday support, running music and drama sessions, to becoming the nurseries EYP, then the Early Years Manager and finally the Director and Manager. Fizz has a postgraduate qualification as an Early Years Professional and a BA(Hons) in Performing Arts and Music.

Greg is the nursery's Facilities, Marketing and Enrichment Manager, ensuring everything is in 'tip-top' working order. Greg's background is also in Music and alongside working at the nursery, he is also a professional musician.

We are extremely lucky to have a hard working, skilled and dedicated team, several of which have worked at Cats Whiskers for over 15 years.
